We are pleased to open our 15th Italian base at Ryanair's Venice Treviso Airport, reflecting a $200 million investment.
Since Ryanair's first ever flight to Italy in 1998 was from London Stansted to Venice Treviso, we are closely associated with Venice Treviso. Italy is one of the largest markets for Ryanair and we want to continue to help the country-wide economic recovery and regional & international connectivity.
We are pleased to conclude with SAVE Group this long-term investment in the creation of links to the Veneto Area on the basis of efficient operations and reasonable airport charges, paving the way for growth in traffic and new routes at Ryanair's 15th Italian base.
With the recent promising news that vaccines will soon be available, amid the current challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, we are pleased to continue delivering development in the region, but we need to start on the road to recovery now. We are launching an inevitable seat sale to celebrate the launch of our new Venice Treviso base, with prices starting at EUR 24.99 for travel to/from Venice Treviso, Venice Marco Polo and Verona from April to October 2021, available until midnight on Monday Monday 2021 (7th December). After the waiving of our flight change fee has just been extended, any customer who has to change their flights in December or January will make adjustments to their booking without a flight change.
