Emirates is launching an airbridge between Dubai and Lebanon with more than 50 flights to provide much-needed emergency relief assistance.

 
 
 
 
Emirates stands with Lebanon in the aftermath of the Port of Beirut explosions that have destroyed many parts of Lebanon's capital city to provide essential emergency relief and assistance to the hundreds of thousands of people impacted by the blasts. By dedicating more than 50 flights to deliver the much needed airlift to the country, Emirates SkyCargo plans to extend its freighter operations to Lebanon.
Via a dedicated, safe and convenient platform through the Emirates Airline Foundation, Emirates offers individuals around the world the ability to donate cash or pledge their Skywards Miles. In exchange, the Emirates Airline Foundation will directly organize emergency food shipments, medical supplies and other much-needed products with a number of NGO partners over the next three months of donations, to ensure that donations directly benefit those affected on the ground in a fast and transparent manner. Work to mobilize recognized humanitarian partners is underway.
The cargo capacity for humanitarian organizations to transport essential medical equipment and medicines, food and other emergency relief goods directly to Beirut via Emirates SkyCargo will be given for each donation. In addition, by offering a 20 percent reduction in air freight transport charges for authorised shipments, Emirates SkyCargo would further contribute, underlining its commitment to expediting Beirut's emergency relief efforts.

Through the dispatch of several charter flights carrying food, clothing and medical supplies donated by different grassroots organisations in the UAE, Emirates has already assisted disaster relief efforts in Lebanon.
By making a difference and giving back to the communities it represents, Emirates is dedicated to becoming a strong partner. The airline funds over 30 humanitarian and philanthropic programs in 16 countries through the Emirates Airline Foundation. Over the years, in collaboration with the Airbus Foundation, Emirates has funded humanitarian flights, and since 2013, Emirates A380 flights have delivered over 120 tonnes of food and critical emergency equipment to those in need.
Emirates has been serving the skies and neighborhoods of Lebanon since 1991. Today, using the Boeing 777, Emirates operates two regular flights to Beirut with plans to add additional frequencies.
